The Proteas, making their first-ever final in an ICC tournament, have won eight games on the trot. Topping the table in the group phase with four wins, South Africa defeated the USA, England, and West Indies in the Super Eight. Their virtual knockout against the West Indies saw them emerge victorious by three wickets on the DLS method.

In the semi-final against Afghanistan, South Africa put on a clinical display, demolishing their opponents by nine wickets. Tabraiz Shamsi and Marco Jansen picked three wickets each, bundling Afghanistan out for just 56, before Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram steered them home comfortably.

Jasprit Bumrah

India’s premier fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, has been in phenomenal form this year across formats. In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Bumrah has been nearly unplayable with his variations, picking up 13 wickets from seven innings at an astonishing economy rate of 4.12.

Bumrah delivered a match-winning performance against Pakistan in the group stage with 3 for 14 and later snared 3 for 7 against Afghanistan in the Super Eight clash. He is coming off another brilliant spell in the semi-final against England, claiming 2 for 12 in 2.4 overs.

Before this tournament, Bumrah had a stellar campaign in the IPL, taking 19 wickets at an economy of 6.58 in a season where other bowlers were getting smashed. He has picked only one wicket from two T20 matches against South Africa but considering his current form, he will be a huge threat in this encounter.

Bet on the T20 World Cup 2024 final on Parimatch.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has been a standout performer for India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 as his leadership and batting prowess have been instrumental in India’s unbeaten run to the final. Leading from the front, the Indian skipper has amassed 248 runs in seven innings at an average of 41.33 while striking at an excellent 155.97.

Sharma has registered three half centuries in the tournament, with notable innings including a blistering 92 off 41 balls against Australia and a crucial 57 off 39 against England in the semi-finals. Rohit’s aggressive approach in the powerplay has given India solid starts, reflected in his 15 sixes and 22 fours in the tournament.

The Indian opener has reinvented his game late in his career to suit the demands of modern cricket, and he has stuck to his guns even in pressure situations. His ability to take the game away early on has been crucial on these pitches where batting gets harder as the innings progresses.

Bet on Rohit Sharma to make over 25.5 runs on Parimatch at odds of 1.85.

Quinton de Kock

Quinton de Kock has been the highest run-getter for South Africa in the ongoing T20 World Cup. He has scored 204 runs from eight innings at an average of 25.50 and strike rate of 143.66, including two half centuries.

De Kock’s strike rate in the tournament is way ahead of his teammates, with the next best scoring at 112.19. His skill set to take on the bowlers in the powerplay makes him a valuable asset to this side, especially with the other members not firing at their potential.

The left-hand opening batter was excellent against the USA, smashing 74 runs in 40 deliveries and followed it up with another match-defining knock of 65 off 38 versus England. The Proteas will hope for a similar outing from their star opener in the final.

Back Quinton de Kock to make a fifty this final at odds of 4.00 on Parimatch.
