T20 World Cup 2022 schedule, team, location, time table

ICC World Cup T20 2022, the 8th T20 Cricket World Cup, is scheduled in Australia between 16 October 2022 and 13 November 2022. Initially, the tournament was scheduled to be held in India in October and November 2021, however, in July 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the tournament was postponed to 2022 due to COVID-19.

In August 2020, ICC confirmed again that Australia will host the 2022 tournament and India will host the T20 World Cup 2020 in 2021.

Below is the complete ICC Cricket T20 World Cup 2022 program. The final will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 13th November 2022 and the semi-final will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground and Adelaide Oval on 9th and 10th November respectively. India is playing the first match with Pakistan on 23 October.

ICC 2022 T20 World Cup 16 teams are playing. There are 15 spots available and there are 86 teams in the race — host Australia has already achieved one.

Of the 16 teams, the top 8 teams from the 2021 T20 World Cup will automatically qualify for the T20 World Cup 2022.

The other 4 teams were selected from the previous tournament. The remaining 4 teams will qualify from qualifier matches and ICC tournaments throughout the year.
