Different types of head to heads markets

Here we will explain you the different types of head to heads markets available in cricket with different examples:

Most runs in first over

In this type of bet, the user is allowed to predict which team will score most runs in the first over of the innings. For this bet to be settled, it is important that both sides bat in the first over unless a settlement has already been reached. If only one of the teams bat in the first over and the other doesn’t get a chance, then the bets will be void.

For example – if India is facing Australia in a T20 World Cup 2024, then the user will be asked to predict which team will score maximum number of runs in the first over of innings.

Similar betting markets like this in head to heads betting are Most runs in Groups of Overs, Highest first partnership, Most Fours, Most Sixes, Batsman Match Bet, Bowler Match Bet.

In these markets, runs scored, wickets picked, fours and sixes hit in the Super over do not count at all.

All-Rounder Match Bet

This type of bet works as a Fantasy system as the user is allowed to predict the all-round player of the match from a team each. Points in this case, are scored as follows – 1 points for a run scored, 20 points per wicket, 10 points per catch and 25 points per stumping.

The player with maximum points after the end of the match is considered the all-rounder of the match. Also, both players must be named in the starting XI for the bets to be settled. The bets in this type of markets are considered to be void if it has not been possible to complete at least 80% of the overs in either innings due to bad weather or any other external factors. Points scored in the super over do not count.

Keeper MatchBet

Points are scored as mentioned above as the user is asked to predict the better wicket keeper of the match. Both the players must be part of the playing XI. Even if their role changes, even then the points will be scored as per the system and the bet will be settled. Rest of the rules remain the same as above.

Most Keeper Catches

In this type of bet, one has to predict which team’s wicket keeper will take the most number of catches. Both players must be part of the playing XI for the bets to be settled. However, if the role of one of the players changes for any reason, even then the number of catches will be counted and the bets will be settled. Catches taken in the super over do not count in this case while rest of the rules remain the same as above.

Most Stumpings

Cricket fanatics have to predict which team’s keeper will affect the most number of stumpings in the game. All the other rules remain the same including the one in the super over as well.

Most Run Outs conceded

Conceding a run out means – Total number of run-out dismissals of a particular team during the innings. This means, we can predict which team’s batting innings will see most run outs and accordingly, the bets will be settled.

When it comes to limited overs matches, the bets will be void if it has not been possible to complete at least 80% of the scheduled overs in either of the innings due to external factors. In drawn first class matches, bets will be considered void if fewer than 200 overs are bowled unless settlement of the bet is determined already. Run Outs happening in super over do not count as expected.
