Who will be England’s top bowler this T20 World Cup?
As we have seen above, Jofra Archer and Adil Rashid have carried the bowling attack for England in the ongoing tournament. The pair has the same number of wickets and the bookmakers have both as joint favourites to be the top bowler for England at T20 World Cup 2024.
Jofra Archer, England’s premier pacer returned to action in May ahead of this tournament and has been bowling brilliantly. He picked 3 for 12 against Oman in the group stage and 3 for 40 versus South Africa, where he bounced back after conceding 21 runs in the first over. Bet on him to be the top England bowler at odds of 2.00 on 22Bet.
Adil Rashid has been terrific for England in controlling the game in middle overs. He has been England’s top wicket-taker in T20I cricket since 2023, with 26 wickets at an economy of 7.01. Against West Indies and South Africa, England’s top opponents in the competition, Rashid picked 1 for 21 and 1 for 20, respectively. You can back Rashid at odds of 2.00 on 22Bet to pick the most wickets.
Considering England are likely to play the semifinals in Guyana, a venue where spinners get significant assistance, we predict Adil Rashid to end up as the top bowler for England in the T20 World Cup 2024.
